McCarthy negotiated with the 20 MAGA Reps and agreed to remove the unlimited power that PELOSI created & abused as Speaker.
My Guess— this was a plan made by Trump & McCarthy in their Jan 28, 2021 meeting at MarALago.
We got 3 hard right Reps on the Rules Committee, the legislation process changed & a promise to prioritize securing our borders.
Along with a long list of concessions that, according to Gaetz, were ALL MET.
They held the line til all of their demands were met. McCarthy obliged, & got his coveted “title”. Everyone should be happy.
They did good.

1. A single congressperson can act to remove Speaker if he goes back on his word or policy agenda. Interestingly, this was the primary concession and it's subsection (q) of the new rules
