The Hamas movement, from the very beginning, has dealt with absolute positivity with the efforts of the mediator brothers in Egypt and Qatar, especially in recent days, where there was a near alignment in positions regarding the latest proposal we received from the mediators, and which we dealt with positively and with high responsibility on this matter.
The reaction we received from the mediators was welcome and praise for the position we presented. Therefore, to hear this stance (from the US) is truly a strange position, and we did not expect something like this, especially given what was reported that negotiations would resume.
The issue of prisoners has not been discussed yet in the Doha negotiations, which continued over the past weeks. It was supposed to be discussed next week.
As for us, we are ready to resume negotiations immediately and at the time the mediators deem appropriate.
We have presented what we have, shown flexibility, and dealt positively with what the mediators presented. We are ready to continue what we started and are serious about reaching an agreement that ends this war completely and permanently, and also resolves the issue of prisoners held by the resistance.
