Press Statement Issued by the Islamic Resistance Movement – Hamas:

The urgent arrival of food, medicine, and the flow of humanitarian aid to our people in the Gaza Strip is a natural right, to stop the humanitarian catastrophe imposed by the Nazi occupation.

The criminal occupation’s resort to airdropping some aid over parts of the Gaza Strip is nothing but a superficial and deceptive step meant to throw dust in the eyes. It aims to whitewash its image before the world and to circumvent the Palestinian people’s right to lift the blockade, as well as the demands of the international community and free peoples to stop the starvation policy run by the terrorist government of war criminal Netanyahu.

The occupation’s plan for airdrops and control over what is called humanitarian corridors represents an exposed policy of managing starvation, not ending it. It seeks to impose coercive facts on the ground under bombing and hunger, endangering civilians’ lives and insulting their dignity, instead of offering them protection and comprehensive relief.

We affirm that the only way to end the brutal starvation crime in the Gaza Strip is to stop the aggression and break the criminal blockade imposed on it, and to open land crossings completely and permanently for humanitarian aid, ensuring its flow and delivery to citizens according to UN-approved mechanisms.

The actions of war criminal Netanyahu’s government to impose an inhumane reality and mechanisms for controlling aid and managing starvation, which have led to the martyrdom of over a thousand and the injury of around six thousand civilians, constitute documented war crimes.

We stress the importance of continued official and popular international pressure to break the siege, stop the crime of starvation and brutal genocide, and not be swayed by the deceptive propaganda of the fascist occupation government.
