The United States has provided Israel with more than $300 billion in military and economic assistance since 1948, adjusted for inflation, helping build and sustain its military capabilities and fund weapons systems used in wars against Palestinians, including the war on Gaza.
According to the Congressional Research Service, US assistance totalled approximately $175 billion in nominal terms through 2025, including $124.5 billion in military aid, $34.35 billion in economic assistance and $16.11 billion for missile defence programmes.
In 2024 alone, US assistance surged to $12.5 billion amid Israel’s genocidal war on Gaza. The figures come as President Donald Trump announced an agreement with Israeli war criminal Benjamin Netanyahu to end approximately $4 billion in annual military aid by the end of 2026, although Washington would continue selling weapons to Israel.
