New information about Mariam and her family:

Mariam was born in February 2024. She came into this world without a father. Her father, Ahmad Mahmoud Ghanem, was slaughtered in an Israeli strike in November 2023, three months before she was born.

Now Mariam has lost her mother, too. Her mother, Reem Awad, was burned alive before her little daughter’s eyes in an Israeli strike.

Mariam survived, but she is suffering from third-degree burns.

Reem and Ahmad had waited four years to conceive Mariam. Four years of waiting and hoping to bring a child into this world.

Ahmad never lived to see his daughter’s face. Reem lived long enough to watch her little girl grow for two and a half years before she was burned alive in front of her.

Now Mariam is an orphan, fighting to survive her horrific burns.

I was able to confirm these heartbreaking details through at least two friends of Reem.

BREAKING | An Israeli occupation drone struck a group of displaced Palestinians near a tent behind the Al-Abbas police station in Al-Rimal, west Gaza City, on Thursday evening, wounding at least three people, who were rushed to Al-Shifa Hospital. Minutes earlier, Israeli occupation aircraft had bombed a residential building in Al-Yarmouk, in central Gaza City, as part of a wave of strikes across the Strip that came only minutes after evacuation orders, leaving families no time to get out. Earlier on Thursday, another Israeli drone fired on a group of people near the Ibad Al-Rahman School in Al-Saftawi, in the north of the city, killing a man Mohammed Khalla and wounding others. According to Gaza’s Health Ministry, 1,501 Palestinians have now been killed and 5,323 wounded since the ceasefire took effect, most of them women and children.

Israeli prison guards are firing rubber bullets at close range into cells, yards, and even lawyer waiting rooms, severely injuring Palestinian prisoners, Haaretz reports.

In one case at Ktziot prison, a prisoner's testicle was "completely mutilated" and surgically removed, after he said guards kicked him in the testicles during a search and a rubber bullet fired through his cell door later hit the same testicle. "I looked like a butchered animal," he said.

Another prisoner needed surgery for a fractured tibia. Physicians for Human Rights and the Public Committee Against Torture documented 21 cases and warn of an "unprecedented escalation," with shooting becoming "another routine way to apply violence in prisons." The Israel Prison Service dismissed the findings as "a worldwide smear campaign."

The Palestinian Red Crescent Society has warned of a deepening healthcare crisis in Gaza, revealing that 60% of medical imaging equipment is out of service, leaving thousands of patients without access to essential diagnostic tests and treatment.

According to the society, around 21,000 patients urgently require medical evacuation, while only about 120 are permitted to leave Gaza daily.

Israeli attacks have left 25 of Gaza’s 38 hospitals completely out of service, with the remaining 13 operating only partially.

🚨🇺🇸🇮🇱🇵🇸 BREAKING:

U.S. journalist reportedly HOSPITALIZED after being severely beaten by Israeli settlers in the West Bank!

Heidi Levine, an American photojournalist who has worked for Washington Post, suffered fractures and other injuries during the alleged assault near Ramallah

The 63-year-old photographer was there covering the Palestinian olive harvest... WTF

Palestinian Journalists Syndicate condemns Israeli settlers attack on veteran US photojournalist
——
The Palestinian Journalists Syndicate has fiercely condemned the Israeli settler assault on veteran Washington Post photojournalist Heidi Levine in the West Bank village of Abu Falah under the military protection of occupation forces.

Calling the attack a deliberate continuation of a systematic campaign to silence media workers, the syndicate warned that constant impunity only greenlights further violence against local and international press crews.

Refusing to accept mere statements of solidarity, the syndicate demanded immediate and effective intervention from the United Nations, global human rights bodies, and the US State Department to secure genuine accountability for the perpetrators.

The organization emphasized that shielding these acts proves the occupation forces are directly complicit in the campaign to hide ongoing atrocities from the world.

Watch | Israeli occupation soldiers detain Palestinians as they return from harvesting olives in Tuqu’, southeast of Bethlehem in the occupied West Bank.

Israeli occupation forces, along with Israeli occupiers, have been working hand in hand in sabotaging this year's olive harvest season for Palestinians.

🇵🇸🇮🇱 How could someone STAND FOR something like this?!

Israeli soldiers STOPPED Palestinians who were trying to harvest and bring THEIR OWN FOOD back home.

This is from Tuqu', southeast of Bethlehem.

Farmers go out to pick the crop that feeds their families, and soldiers and settlers are right there blocking the groves, grabbing the bags, and detaining people on the way back.

They’re not letting them get their OWN FOOD.

🚨 Dangerous Escalation in Southern Gaza

💥 Field reports indicate that Israeli naval vessels fired more than 40 shells toward the coast of Rafah, intermittently over a period of approximately two hours.

Meanwhile, the skies over Al-Mawasi in Khan Younis witnessed intensive helicopter activity, accompanied by heavy gunfire and sounds of military vehicles moving through the area.

This comes amid growing tension and fear among residents, as the escalation has been described as unprecedented in the area since the beginning of the war.

🚨 Gaza is under fire once again, and its people are living in fear all over again. 💔🇵🇸
