Starved Palestinian civilians, including children, were desperately seeking aid in Rafah from a U.S. company center (GHF).
Many were killed, others injured, and most returned empty-handed. One heart-wrenching example involved two Palestinian children under the age of ten who walked over 10 kilometers under the scorching sun, only to return with nothing but a small bag of scattered lentils they picked up off the ground.

Confessions by Israeli Soldiers and Officers to "Haaretz" on Deliberate Shooting at Thousands of Starving Civilians Reveal a Systematic Mass Execution Crime Near Gaza's Death TrapsIn light of the shocking revelations published by the Israeli newspaper Haaretz, where soldiers and officers of the Israeli occupation army confessed to deliberately shooting at starving Palestinian civilians near the so-called “American-Israeli aid distribution centers” — which are in fact death traps — we affirm to the local and international public that these testimonies constitute an internal, documented admission of war crimes and systematic mass murder against the people of Gaza, who have endured months of siege and starvation.
The report’s disclosure of direct military orders to fire on unarmed civilians who posed no threat — using heavy machine guns, artillery, and grenades against peaceful crowds waiting for food — is further evidence that the Israeli occupation army is enacting an organized policy of extermination under a false humanitarian guise labeled as “relief.” These testimonies also expose the army’s collusion with private security firms and contractors for profit at the expense of innocent blood.
We urgently call upon international institutions, the Human Rights Council, and the International Criminal Court to immediately intervene to open the crossings, break the siege, and deliver aid through official UN and international humanitarian channels — unconditionally and without delay. We strongly condemn the ongoing acts of genocide against thousands of starving civilians in Gaza and hold the Israeli occupation, the United States, and complicit states such as the United Kingdom, France, and Germany fully responsible for these systematic crimes. We call on all free nations of the world to break the siege on Gaza by all means and to stop the ongoing genocide, starvation, and blockade against 2.4 million Palestinians in the Gaza Strip.

The most frustrating part is that Palestinians have been shouting and reporting about this since May 27, but it clearly takes an Israeli outlet to report it for the world to pay attention and acknowledge the reality: Israel is killing Palestinians seeking aid.
This is not to diminish the work of the outlet Haaretz, but to highlight the dehumanization of Palestinians and the world’s unwillingness to pay attention to what they are reporting and saying.
