️BREAKING:
Yasser Abu Shabab’s group which is working with the Israeli military in southern Gaza claimed responsibility for last night’s raid on Nasser Hospital in Khan Younis, saying it was part of a “popular correction” campaign. They accused the SAHM Unit of torturing civilians inside the hospital and announced they had abducted several of its members, who are now being interrogated.
Their Statement:
“Issued by the Leadership of the Popular Forces regarding the Popular Correction at Nasser Hospital – Khan Younis
Between a crime committed behind walls and a right violated in broad daylight, action had to be taken.
In a focused and precise operation, the Popular Forces carried out a legitimate move with the participation of several honorable tribes as part of the Popular Correction. It targeted members of the “SAHM” mercenary unit affiliated with Hamas’ security apparatus, who had been involved in torturing civilians and brutally killing Palestinian youths. After committing their crimes, they fled to hide inside Nasser Hospital, thinking the walls would protect them—but we were ahead of their fear and closer than their shadows.
Our move was not against the hospital, but against those who exploited the sanctity of the place to hide from accountability.
In the name of the people, we affirm:
➤ A number of “SAHM” mercenary members are now in the custody of the Popular Forces and are currently under investigation in accordance with national standards.
➤ We will not disclose their names or details of their confessions at this stage to ensure the safety of the procedures, avoid endangering their families, and out of adherence to an ethical approach we refuse to deviate from.
• However, we issue a clear and unambiguous warning:
•Anyone involved in torture, killing, or abduction on behalf of the “SAHM” mercenaries will not be safe and will not remain hidden.
•Anyone who thinks a security or political title will protect them will soon find out that the dignity of the people is stronger than any false shield.
The Popular Forces do not seek chaos but are steadily moving toward correcting the course. We do not practice torture—we pursue those who did. We do not rule in the name of weapons nor seek authority, but we protect in the name of the people amidst the absence of justice and the chaos of partisan and personal interests.”
