⚡🇵🇸JUST IN:

Patients returning from treatment in Jerusalem were subjected to harsh Israeli restrictions at the Karam Abu Salem crossing: only one bag, up to 500 shekels, and one phone allowed. Chronically ill patients said Israeli forces confiscated and threw away their medications.

Clothes, supplies, and personal belongings, including items with deep sentimental value, were left scattered on the ground as people were forced to abandon them. Exhausted patients had to choose between medicine, clothing, or memories just to re-enter Gaza. Today, 76 patients and companions crossed under these conditions.

Israel repeatedly carries out random shootings at our tents in the center of Gaza City, until gunfire has become a part of our daily life. Each time they open fire, we find ourselves running in every direction, holding our children close with whatever remains of our torn tent fabric, while bullets whistle above our heads as if searching for their next victim. The shots pierce the fragile walls of fear we have lived behind for two years walls that crack with every explosion.

Our lives hang on the shouts of our neighbors; the moment the shooting starts, everyone screams: ‘Get down… stay low!’ We all tremble adults and children alike as the tents shudder above us and bullets streak past like flashes of death that spare no one. In those moments, everything feels one second away from ending, and survival becomes a trembling miracle we cling to in silence
