JUST IN:
Early yesterday morning, Israeli forces fired live bullets, gas canisters, and smoke at Palestinian civilians gathered at the U.S.-backed Gaza Humanitarian Foundation (GHF) aid point in Netzarim.
After walking for hours under fire since midnight, civilians hoping for food were instead met with more gunfire, bombing, and choking gas. The GHF site, run by Israel and supported by the U.S., has functioned as a death trap, enforcing starvation and engineered scarcity in violation of international law.
Before today’s toll, at least 163 Palestinians had been killed and 1,495 wounded while trying to access aid at these sites.
Among them was journalist Zuher Dahlan, who set out at midnight to get food for his family. By 4 a.m., those who survived the approach were finally let in, only to face more chaos. Dahlan returned with only scraps. Today’s attack at Netzarim killed over 20 and wounded hundreds more.
