In response to the aggressive and brazen US attack on Iran’s nuclear sites and facilities, the powerful armed forces of the Islamic Republic of Iran struck the American airbase in Al-Udeid, Qatar, a few hours ago.

The number of missiles used in this successful operation matched the number of bombs the United States employed in its attack on Iran’s nuclear facilities. The base targeted by Iran’s capable forces was located at a significant distance from urban areas and residential zones in Qatar.

This operation posed no threat whatsoever to our friendly and brotherly country, Qatar, or its honorable people. The Islamic Republic of Iran remains committed to preserving and continuing the warm and historic relations with Qatar."

In no way does that mean the two sides magically see eye to eye on all the issues that led to this conflict in the first place. In fact, it's clear that their differences are irreconcilable. I'm seeing a cult-like celebration of Trump's announcement by people who seem to lack any critical thinking skills at all, like they live in a comic book reality. My prediction is that this ceasefire doesn't last even 1,000 hours before somebody starts bombing again. Probably Israel. This entire thing is possibly just another deception tactic by the Zionists to try to catch Iran off guard again. The entire world knows that Israel and the USA never negotiate in good faith. They always use negotiations or ceasefires to inflict assassinations or surprise attacks on their intended targets. For God's sake, they just murdered the last batch of Iranian negotiators a little over a week ago! Why would this ceasefire be the one exception to decades of deception and slaughter carried out by Israel? Stop chugging Kool-Aid and start thinking critically.

JUST IN: In a statement, allegedly by the Iranian Supreme National Security Council Statement it announced that Iran has declared a ceasefire with what it calls the “Zionist enemy and its evil supporters, following 12 days of military confrontation.”

The council praised the Iranian people for their “unity and described the recent operations—including missile strikes on Al-Udeid Air Base” and targets across the occupied territories—as a decisive response to enemy aggression.

It credited Iran’s Supreme Leader and the armed forces for what it called a strategic victory that forced the enemy into retreat and a unilateral halt of hostilities.

The statement warned that Iranian forces remain on high alert and ready to deliver a decisive response to any future attacks.
