Leave the Amish Alone — or Watch Them Leave New York

New York is preparing to do something a free country should find intolerable: grind a peaceful religious minority out of existence over a paperwork war it started, then act surprised when the minority packs the wagons and goes.

The state’s Amish — roughly 25,000 people in one-room schoolhouses on private land, taking no public money — have told Albany the quiet part out loud. Restore the religious exemption that existed for more than fifty years, or they will leave.

Ezra Wengerd of Canajoharie, 55, Old Order Amish, the lead plaintiff in the Supreme Court case: “Our Almighty God wants us to fully put our faith and trust in Him. Which is in conflict to put our trust in vaccines. We are also commanded to not be conformed to this world.”

In dit eye opening verhaal verdiep ik me in het leven van de Swartzentruber Amish – de meest conservatieve subgroep van de Old Order Amish. Ze leiden misschien wel het meest conservatieve en traditionele leven van alle mensen op onze planeet. Ik moet zeggen dat ik, zelfs na een bezoek aan alle 197 landen ter wereld, de Swartzentruber Amish tot de meest fascinerende groepen mensen reken waarmee ik ooit in contact ben gekomen. En dat in mijn eigen land!

Via mijn vriendin Lizzie, een voormalig lid van de Swartzentruber Amish die opgroeide in Holmes County, Ohio, kreeg ik zeldzame toegang tot deze afgezonderde gemeenschap die voor buitenstaanders verboden terrein is. Ga met mij mee terwijl we uit de eerste hand leren van de Swartzentruber Amish en een diepgaande blik werpen op Lizzies jeugd, zoals zij zich die herinnert.

Now the truth finally comes out that the state of New York wants the Amish people‘s properties and land so they can build their data centers. How disgusting
 The Amish of Central New York told the seditious Governor Kathy Hochul they would pack up, abandon their farms and leave if the Governor tried forcing vaccines on their children. The Governor fined them over $100,000 and demanded they comply anyway.
When the Amish decided to fight back, taking the wicked Governor to court, Hochul's minion Senator Fahy drew up even more legislation to pressure them to leave, attacking their children again, this time through an anti-homeschooling bill.
Tens of thousands of acres of cleared Amish farmland are at stake. The Amish have spent decades clearing their land by hand and horse. The hard work has been done.
But if the Governor has her way, the Amish will be forced to sell that cleared land to the solar farms and data centers knocking on the doors for it.
Who will help the Amish stand up to this maniacal Governor? We need to expose this on social media and we need to get the right people involved to represent the Amish and help them fight This evil demonic power and control of New York.

WHEN DOES PUBLIC HEALTH POLICY STOP BEING PUBLIC HEALTH POLICY AND BECOME A FIGHT OVER PERSONAL FREEDOM?

Three Amish community schools in New York have faced $118,000 in fines over the state’s school vaccination requirements.

These families have challenged the rules in court, arguing that they conflict with their religious beliefs and their rights to raise their children according to their faith.

New York’s position is that school vaccination requirements help protect children and communities from preventable infectious diseases.

And that brings us to the question:

How do we balance public health, parental rights, religious freedom and informed consent without treating genuine concerns as something to be silenced?

A government should be able to explain its policies, show the evidence behind them and defend its decisions under scrutiny.

And citizens should be able to question those decisions without being automatically labelled ignorant, selfish or dangerous.

You can believe protecting children from infectious diseases matters AND believe that government power deserves scrutiny. Those ideas are not mutually exclusive.

This isn’t a simple issue with a one-line answer. It deserves honest debate, transparency and a willingness to listen to people whose beliefs differ from our own.

Because trust isn’t built by demanding silence. It’s built by earning confidence.

Where do you draw the line between protecting public health and respecting individual freedom?

“Als je de resultaten vergelijkt van kinderen wier moeders niet gevaccineerd waren, geen vitamine K-injectie kregen & geen vaccins, en als je de uitkomsten van die kinderen vergelijkt met kinderen die het CDC-schema volgden, is er een dramatisch verschil,” benadrukte hij.

De prevalentie van autisme in de Verenigde Staten is gestegen van 1 op de 10.000 naar 1 op de 31.

“Het is een verschil waar niemand over wil praten ... De volledig ongevaccineerde kinderen zijn altijd gezonder.”
