JUST IN:Russia, China, and the UK have rejected the U.S.-Israeli aid distribution plan for Gaza, instead demanding that Israel lift its 70-day siege.
UN humanitarian chief Tom Fletcher condemned the plan as a “cynical sideshow” and a “fig leaf for further violence,” warning it fuels mass displacement and limits aid to parts of Gaza, using starvation as a bargaining chip.
He accused Israel of “deliberately and unashamedly imposing inhumane conditions on civilians,” and called on the UN Security Council to act decisively to prevent genocide and uphold international humanitarian law.

️BREAKING: Press Statement– Hamas:Hamas condemns in the strongest terms the United States' use of its veto power against a draft resolution in the UN Security Council calling for a ceasefire in Gaza.
The US veto embodies the US administration's blind bias toward the fascist occupation government and supports its crimes against humanity in the Gaza Strip.
We strongly condemn the US administration's defiance of the will of the entire world, as 14 of the 15 countries in the Security Council supported the resolution, while the United States alone opposed it. This arrogant stance reflects its disregard for international law and its complete rejection of any international effort to stop the Palestinian bloodshed.
This US position constitutes a green light for the war criminal Netanyahu, wanted by the International Criminal Court, to continue his brutal war of extermination against innocent civilians, including children, women, and the elderly, in the Gaza Strip, confirming its full complicity in this ongoing crime.
The US representative's presentation during the voting session was nothing more than a continuation of Washington's approach of deception and distortion of facts, and a denial of the legitimate rights of our Palestinian people to resist the occupation and achieve self-determination.
The UN Security Council's failure to stop the 20-month-long war of extermination, and its inability to break the siege and deliver food to the starving civilians in the Gaza Strip, raises fundamental questions about the role of international community institutions and the effectiveness of international laws and conventions, which the occupation continues to violate day after day without any accountability or effective action.
We call on the international community to take urgent action to address this moral and political collapse, to pressure for an immediate end to the war of extermination, and to hold the occupation leaders accountable for their crimes against our Palestinian people.
