BREAKING: An Israeli soldier speaks to SkyNews about arbitrary killing of civilians in Gaza:
An Israeli reserve soldier who served in Gaza revealed that systematic orders were given to shoot anyone entering areas the military deemed “off-limits”, regardless of whether the person was armed or posed a threat. These orders, he said, resulted in the killing of large numbers of unarmed civilians, and the rules of engagement varied based on commanders’ moods and daily circumstances.
The soldier, who served in Division 252 near the Netzarim Corridor, described inhumane practices such as sleeping in the homes of displaced Palestinians and enforcing invisible boundaries that civilians had no way of knowing. Anyone who crossed these lines was fired upon, despite the fact that no real markers or warnings were provided.
He noted that a dominant belief within the Israeli army is that “all Gazans are terrorists”, an ideology actively reinforced by commanders and left unchallenged. He described the situation as the “Wild West,” where some commanders commit war crimes with no consequences.
He concluded by saying that the treatment of civilians is completely arbitrary, depending on who is in command at any given moment. In some cases, people were executed; in others, they were arrested, decisions made on a whim, highlighting the total lack of consistent rules or adherence to international law.
