BREAKING: Donald Trump gets shockingly bad news as polling reveals that 58% of Americans believe that his first year back in power was a "failure."
And it gets so much worse for MAGA...
According to a CNN poll conducted SSRS, public opinion on "nearly every aspect" of the first year of Trump's second term is "negative."
Most Americans said that the biggest issue facing America right now is the economy and only 3 in 10 gave it a positive rating under Trump. Only 4 in 10 expect it to improve over the coming year. Worst of all for the president, 55% of Americans believe that his policies have worsened the economy while only 32% are foolish enough to think that he's improved it.
64% of respondents believe that Trump has failed to do enough to reduce the cost of everyday goods. Somewhat surprisingly, roughly half of Republicans agree with that sentiment as do 42% of people who identify as "MAGA." They may be in a cult, but they also have eyes and can see their dwindling bank accounts.
Given the disastrous effects of his harebrained tariffs, it's easy to see why so many Americans have turned against Trump's economic agenda. He promised a "Golden Age" and now many families can barely afford groceries.
And the awful numbers continue...
36% of Americans think that Trump is properly prioritizing their interests. When he started out this term, that number sat at 45%. A paltry 33% of Americans think that Trump cares about people like them. Of course, that number should be at 0% since Trump has only ever cared about himself. He is pathologically incapable of empathy.
37% believe that Trump puts the "good of the country" above his own personal gain, which is an absurdly high number given how blatantly he's focused on lining his pockets and those of his closest cronies.
“Even if he is doing some good in areas, he comes across very self-seeking and (shows a) lack of caring about the common good of our citizens,” one independent stated.
Only 35% of Americans are proud to have Trump as their president. Imagine for a moment, how willfully blind or downright immoral you'd have to be to feel that way. Donald Trump is a national embarrassment that will never wash out of our history books. He's almost certainly a pedophile and is experiencing worsening cognitive decline with each passing day. To that point, less than half of Americans believe that he has the stamina and sharpness to do his job.
58% said that Trump has gone too far in using the powers of the presidency and 62% believe that he's gone too far in trying to reshape cultural institutions like the Kennedy Center. Democrats should remember that fact and the next president should wipe out every trace of Trump's name and legacy from our institutions.
As far as the crucial upcoming midterm elections are concerned, Trump appears to be in deep trouble. Only 29% of Independents approve of him. If we keep hammering the hard facts and pointing out his endless failures, we can get that number even lower and bring a blue wave crashing into Congress.
