77 Days of Systematic Starvation: The Israeli Occupation Continues Its Crimes, and Trump’s Statements Are a Waste of Time Aligned with Policies of Starvation and Genocide
The Government Media Office warns that the deliberate and systematic delay in the entry of humanitarian aid and the opening of crossings into the Gaza Strip is a direct result of blatant collusion between the "israeli" occupation and several genocide-sponsoring states—chief among them the United States of America. We hold U.S. President Donald Trump directly responsible, alongside the occupation, for the continued starvation of our Palestinian people, the blockade of crossings, and the stalling of food and relief aid deliveries.
We further affirm that Trump’s recent remarks on Gaza have had no tangible impact on the ground. They are empty, performative media statements—nothing more than a waste of time—which in effect and outcome fully align with the occupation’s policy of sustaining starvation, genocide, and normalizing the slow death of civilians.
For 77 consecutive days, the "israeli" occupation has maintained a tight closure of crossings, preventing the entry of food, essential supplies, and critical goods—carrying out a systematic starvation campaign that amounts to a full-fledged act of genocide under international humanitarian law and the Rome Statute.
This deliberate food blockade has led to widespread famine across all areas of Gaza, with 57 confirmed deaths—most of them children—due to hunger and malnutrition. Mortality rates are rising due to diseases linked to food scarcity and the lack of basic essentials, as dozens of food items have disappeared from both markets and aid centers.
This grave humanitarian reality no longer warrants just analysis or commentary—it demands immediate and serious action from the international community and all humanitarian and human rights institutions to halt this ongoing atrocity and end the collective punishment policy being imposed on over 2.4 million civilians in Gaza, including 1.1 million children.
The Government Media Office affirms that the "israeli" occupation is using food as a weapon of war against civilians in an attempt to break the will of the Palestinian people through mass starvation and human degradation—openly sanctioned by certain international actors, foremost among them the American administration, which has failed in its latest so-called humanitarian mission.
Coinciding with the Arab Summit currently being held in the Iraqi capital, Baghdad, we issue an urgent appeal to Arab leaders and heads of state to assume their historic and moral responsibilities by taking bold, practical steps to break the unjust siege on Gaza, stop the ongoing genocide and daily killings, and push for the immediate and unconditional opening of crossings to ensure the steady flow of food, humanitarian, and medical aid to our people who are facing death by starvation.
The world’s silence does not absolve this nation from its role—and Arab inaction in this critical phase only worsens civilian suffering and grants the occupation further cover to complete its crime of starving an entire people.
We sound the alarm to the entire world and hold the "israeli" occupation and its complicit allies fully responsible for the martyrdom of dozens of innocent lives due to hunger. We call for the immediate and unconditional opening of crossings and the urgent entry of food and humanitarian aid to rescue what remains of life in the Gaza Strip.
