Not sure President Trump or his advisers see the political cost of targeting Massie, Rand Paul, and MTG.
These three are, right now, the most popular members of Congress among MAHA supporters.
They represent medical freedom, responsible fiscal policy, no more foreign wars, questions about vaccines, chemtrails, corporate capture, pro farmer, and so much more.
Between the three of them they check just about every MAHA box.
MAHA delivered this election for President Trump.
Targeting the very voters who pushed him across the finish line is basically handing Democrats the midterms.
It is also bad for MAHA itself.
Whether people like it or not, MAHA is still rooted in the Republican coalition.
If Democrats take the House, RFK Jr. will have almost no ability to move meaningful policy.
There is nothing strategically smart here.
The only beneficiaries are Democrats.
Whoever needs to hear this: a huge share of MAHA is left leaning on most issues.
Push them away and they will gladly vote third party or never vote Republican again.
Attacking Massie, Rand, and MTG is seen inside MAHA as attacking MAHA voters directly.
Some supporters are already gone for good.
If this continues it will be politically catastrophic for Republicans in the midterms and damaging to both the GOP and the MAHA movement in the long run.
As someone who wants to see MAHA and its policies succeed, it’s beyond frustrating watching this take place.
