According to Axios, Trump’s plan was radically altered at Netanyahu’s request, sparking anger from Saudi Arabia, Egypt, Jordan, and Turkey. Qatar even urged Washington not to publish it, but the White House pressed ahead.

Key Netanyahu-driven changes:

➤ Removed acknowledgment that US & Israel asked Qatar to host Hamas

➤ IDF withdrawal lines redrawn to let Israel keep half of Gaza, with an indefinite “security perimeter”

➤ Blair & Trump inserted into the role of running Gaza

➤ “Palestinian citizens” changed to “people of Gaza”

➤ Withdrawal tied to Hamas disarmament, with terms expanded from offensive weapons to all “military/terror” arms, adding “destroyed & not rebuilt” which effectively keeps the IDF inside Gaza permanently

➤ Removed reference to deradicalizing Israelis, keeping only vague “mindsets & narratives” language
