I was just asked if this post is hype.
Not hype - there is a large geomagnetic storm going on from a big X class solar flare and multiple CMEs (coronal mass ejections) hitting Earth at the same time, hence the aurora at higher latitudes last night.
Polar flights were rerouted and some rocket launches were delayed due to atmospheric energy, and it looks like the Dominican Republic had some power grid issues last night (not sure if related to CME, but possible). And I don’t know about you, but I slept like shit last night.
Good to be aware of causes and effects of magnetic storms (atmosphere, electronics, mind/body effects). With our planet’s magnetic field going through changes right now, plus our society becoming more wire-dependent, the effects magnify.
