A hacker posing as an Israeli officer secretly recorded a phone call with Suhail al-Hassan, a major general in Assad’s army.

Believing he was speaking to an Israeli officer, al-Hassan prayed for the “Al-Aqsa Flood” operation to end, described it as “stupidity,” and cursed those who carried it out and insulted both Sunnis and Shiites, while offering greetings and thanks, unaware the conversation was a hoax.

Israel violated the ceasefire by killing Dana Abu Ma‘rouf, a child who was playing with her friends in Al-Mawasi, Khan Younis. Israel claimed it targeted “a terrorist preparing an imminent attack.”

Two sisters, Hiba (5) and Maryam (7) Abu Jalal, were injured.

Israel released a video of the strike, with part of the right side obscured, concealing evidence of the attack.
