Israel approved a NIS 2.35 billion (≈ $630–750 million USD) hasbara budget for 2026, with NIS 1 billion already authorized. Finance Minister Smotrich and Foreign Minister Sa’ar say the funds will support ‘global campaigns to promote Israel, including social-media efforts, partnerships with civil groups, and delegations of influencers and officials.’

Sa’ar also announced a new Public Diplomacy Unit in the Foreign Ministry to coordinate all Hasbara work.
