Israeli Occupation Forces Detonate Over 80 Booby-Trapped Robots in Residential Neighborhoods as More Than One Million Palestinians in Gaza and the North Refuse to Flee Southward
The Israeli occupation army continues to commit systematic and grave crimes against the Palestinian people in the Gaza Strip, in blatant and flagrant violation of the provisions of international law and international humanitarian law. These crimes include the pursuit of unarmed civilians, including children and women, and the forced displacement of the population in a full-fledged crime of forcible transfer.
As part of its brutal assaults, the occupation army detonated more than 80 booby-trapped robots in residential civilian neighborhoods over the past three weeks—an act of criminal behavior that reflects the deliberate use of a scorched-earth policy during its ground operations against civilians and urban areas. This has resulted in large-scale destruction of homes and property and has exposed civilians to extreme danger.
The occupation also continues to perpetrate the crime of starvation against more than 2.4 million people in the Gaza Strip, including over one million in Gaza City and the north, by deliberately preventing the entry of food and water, in clear violation of Article (54) of Additional Protocol I to the Geneva Conventions. This starvation policy has led to the deaths of more than 332 people, including 124 children. These actions are accompanied by systematic operations to destroy what remains of the healthcare system and by deliberate targeting of the essentials of civilian life, with the aim of eliminating any possibility of normal life continuing.
Despite this, more than one million Palestinians remain in Gaza City, refusing to yield to the policy of forced displacement and ethnic cleansing, affirming their legendary steadfastness in the face of the criminal Israeli war machine.
We salute the steadfastness of our heroic Palestinian people and strongly condemn the ongoing crimes of the occupation against civilians. We hold the Israeli occupation and the United States administration fully responsible for the continuation of this genocide.
We call on the international community, with all its institutions and bodies, to take a serious and effective stance to immediately halt these crimes and the ongoing genocide, protect civilians, and hold the leaders of the occupation accountable for their crimes before the competent international courts.
