Suddenly, Israel seems concerned about the damage to Al-Jarina Mosque following the Iranian strike on Haifa. The Religious Affairs Department under the Ministry of Interior condemned it, and the Israeli Foreign Minister tweeted his disapproval.
But isn’t this the same Israel that, just last week, confiscated loudspeakers and shut down mosques under the pretext of noise disturbance?
Isn’t it the same Israel that carries out massive excavations beneath the blessed Al-Aqsa Mosque and provides full cover for settler incursions, including by its own government ministers?
And even more astonishing, isn’t it the same Israel that destroyed mosques in Gaza in plain sight, with its own soldiers’ cameras documenting the destruction and Quran burnings, footage that the Israeli Defense Ministry proudly released as an achievement?
Do they think we’re stupid, or from another planet?
