Press Release No. (860) issued by the Government Media Office:
The Israeli occupation commits a new massacre in Rafah: 8 starved civilians killed and 61 injured, raising the total toll at the "Israeli-American aid centers" to 110 martyrs, 583 wounded, and 9 missing*
In yet another crime committed by the Israeli occupation forces on the first day of Eid al-Adha, 8 starved civilians were killed and 61 others injured today, Friday, by live fire from Israeli forces and the American security company near one of the "Israeli-American aid distribution centers" in Rafah Governorate. This raises the cumulative toll of victims at these centers since their establishment on May 27, 2025, to 110 martyrs, 583 wounded, and 9 missing.
These suspicious "aid centers," which are set up in exposed red zones fully controlled by the Israeli army and the American security company, have turned into death traps, luring starving civilians and then deliberately targeting them with live fire. This constitutes a full-fledged war crime under international humanitarian law, particularly under the 1948 Convention on the Prevention and Punishment of the Crime of Genocide.
*In light of the continuation of these horrific massacres, we emphasize the following:*
1.We strongly condemn these recurring atrocities and hold the Israeli occupation and the U.S. administration fully responsible for the crime of using food as a weapon of mass killing under a deceptive label of "humanitarian aid."
2.We call on the United Nations, the Security Council, and all international organizations to take a firm and immediate stance to stop these crimes, open the official border crossings for aid delivery through neutral UN agencies, and end this criminal model perpetrated openly by the Israeli occupation and the U.S. security company.
3.We call for the urgent formation of an independent international investigation committee to document these crimes and prosecute the perpetrators before international justice. We also hold the international community accountable for its alarming silence, which only encourages further bloodshed.
4.We reiterate our absolute rejection of the so-called “buffer zones” or “humanitarian corridors” created by the occupation, warning that they are tools for herding civilians into exposed kill zones.
5.On Eid, a day that should symbolize peace and compassion, the Israeli occupation and its American partners kill starving civilians in Gaza while the world watches in disgraceful silence. This systematic criminal behavior by the occupation is a stain on the conscience of humanity and will never strip our people of their right to life, freedom, and dignity.
