Palestina - Israël

Israel placed bracelets on the hands of Palestinian prisoners before their release from Ofer Prison.

The bracelets displayed Israel’s flag and the phrase: ‘The eternal people do not forget; they chase their enemies and capture them!’

He said: they assaulted us just before our release.

Palestinian Red Crescent: The number of released prisoners transferred to hospitals has risen to 7 due to their harsh health condition.

Prisoner Mohammed Brash, from Al-Am'ari refugee camp in Ramallah, who was sentenced to three life terms, is finally free after 23 years in captivity. During his imprisonment in Israeli prisons, he lost his eyesight due to deliberate medical negligence.

Unable to walk: Sheikh Jamal Al-Tawil (61 years old) was transferred directly from the freed prisoners’ bus to the hospital due to his deteriorating health condition after being brutally beaten by occupation jailers until the last moments before his release.

Like all prisoners, he endured harsh detention conditions, systematic torture, starvation, medical crimes, and brutal treatment, including beatings. He has been subjected to arrest since he was 16 years old. He continued to face administrative detention until today, having spent over 18 years in total.

All three Israeli captives were starved because of Israel. Israel controls the borders and the aid going in. It is Israel that imposed starvation on Gaza as a whole.

The irony is that the same Israelis who claimed there was no famine in Gaza and ignored the suffering of Palestinian hostages released in even worse conditions are now saying the Israeli captives were starved.

I just went through some replies and let me be clear, I addressed the 3 Israelis who were released today specifically.

Regarding previously, not a single Israeli woman from the ones released was starved or in similar conditions as these 3 men, in fact they were taken care of as a priority despite the lack of food and supplies because of Israel.

Israel blocks aid from reaching Gaza, and Israelis destroy the aid. Then they deny that famine and starvation ever occurred in Gaza.

Now, after more than 470 days, they are surprised that the three Israeli ‘hostages’ were starved. Their condition is a direct result of Israel’s actions.

Scenes from the funeral of the child, Saddam Rajab, in the town of Kafr al -Labad, east of Tulkarm.

He’s an 11-year-old child who succumbed to his wounds yesterday in the hospital in Ramallah. He was shot in the back while not posing any threat on the 28th of January 2025 by an Israeli sniper in Tulkarem city, West Bank.

🚨BREAKING

Palestinian Red Crescent: The number of released prisoners transferred to hospitals has risen to 7 due to their harsh health condition.

Prisoner Mohammed Brash, from Al-Am'ari refugee camp in Ramallah, who was sentenced to three life terms, is finally free after 23 years in captivity. During his imprisonment in Israeli prisons, he lost his eyesight due to deliberate medical negligence.

Unable to walk: leader and former mayor of Al-Bireh, Sheikh Jamal Al-Tawil (61 years old) was transferred directly from the freed prisoners’ bus to the hospital due to his deteriorating health condition after being brutally beaten by occupation jailers until the last moments before his release.

Like all prisoners, he endured harsh detention conditions, systematic torture, starvation, medical crimes, and brutal treatment, including beatings. He has been subjected to arrest since he was 16 years old. He continued to face administrative detention until today, having spent over 18 years in total.

In 2021, he went on a hunger strike demanding the release of his daughter, Bushra Al-Tawil, who had been detained multiple times, including in administrative detention. Most recently, she was freed this year as part of the first batch of the first phase of the deal.

Freed prisoner Yusuf Al-Tamimi who spend 3 years and a half was released with two injured knees and beaten all over his body: "This is a beating from yesterday during our transfer and inside the prison because the prisoners are being sent home... They deliberately beat us, but not in a way that would cause fractures so it doesn’t show where we were hit. All prisoners were hit and prisoners were subjected to worse than this. They tied our hands and legs, threw us on the ground and hit us."

⚡️BREAKING: Press Statement Issued by Hamas:

The deteriorating health conditions of our freed prisoners in today’s prisoner exchange deal, as part of the fifth phase, and in previous phases, once again reveal the tragic reality our prisoners endure in the occupation’s prisons.

Today, the world witnesses the stark contrast between the humane and ethical treatment of the occupation’s captives by the resistance and the oppressive and brutal treatment of our prisoners by the occupation.

The immediate transfer of seven prisoners to hospitals upon their release, including the freed leader Sheikh Jamal Al-Tawil, demonstrates the systematic abuse and mistreatment by the occupation’s prison administration. This includes ongoing assaults, torture, and disregard for age or the severe health conditions suffered by many prisoners. These actions are part of the extremist policies of the occupation’s government, which deliberately employs slow-killing tactics against prisoners inside its jails.

We warn against the continuation of torture, repression, mistreatment, and medical neglect against our prisoners, and we renew our vow to spare no effort in securing their freedom and emptying the prisons, no matter the occupation’s resistance.

We call on our heroic people, our factions, and human rights and humanitarian organizations to assume their responsibilities and work to support the prisoners’ movement by all available means.
