Qatar's Foreign Ministry announced this morning that the country "deeply regrets" the resumption of hostilities following the end of the ceasefire without reaching an agreement to extend it.According to a statement from the Qatari Foreign Ministry, negotiations between the parties are ongoing with the aim of returning to a ceasefire situation, and it clarified that Qatar, along with its partners, is committed to mediation so that efforts lead to the establishment of a ceasefire.
The Qatari Foreign Ministry also stressed that attacks on the Gaza Strip in the first hours after the end of the ceasefire will complicate mediation efforts and will make the “human catastrophe” in the Gaza Strip “worse,” and therefore calls on the international community to act quickly.
