The Palestinian Journalists' Bloc has called for urgent international intervention to protect detained Palestinian journalist Bushra Al-Taweel, who has been held in solitary confinement in Israeli prisons for nearly 50 days.

She has been subjected to beatings, pepper spray inside her cell, deprivation of basic necessities, and practices causing severe dehydration, raising serious concerns about her physical and psychological well-being.

The bloc urged international press bodies, the International Committee of the Red Cross, and human rights organizations to assess her condition, end her isolation, ensure her protection, and secure her immediate release.

❗️Israeli security minister weaponizes mosque raids and home demolitions in aggressive bid to suppress votes

Israeli National Security Minister Itamar Ben-Gvir has weaponized punitive measures against Palestinian communities to bolster his standing ahead of the 27 October parliamentary elections, boasting about police raids and fines imposed on mosques.

Ben-Gvir highlighted a recent police raid on the Al-Rahma Mosque in the southern town of Tel Sheva (Tel as-Sabi), where officers issued fines over alleged loudspeaker volume violations—a policy he touted as part of a broader crackdown on religious calls to prayer across the country.

According to Anadolu Agency, the Joint Arab List alliance has filed an urgent petition with the Central Elections Committee seeking to halt the political exploitation of home demolitions and evictions, citing campaign media published by Ben-Gvir featuring bulldozers flattening a residential building in occupied East Jerusalem’s Al-Tur neighborhood.

The legal petition further revealed that authorities have deliberately reactivated eviction orders dormant for over two decades, scheduling enforcement dates to coincide directly with election day.

Acting Executive Director Carl Skau explained that the number of beneficiaries had fallen from 1.6 million to 1.1 million, with food rations cut in half, cash assistance reduced for 75,000 families, and 100,000 daily hot meals discontinued.

The UN official warned that the humanitarian crisis could worsen as winter approaches, urging donors to provide the necessary funding to prevent conditions from deteriorating further.

What kind of cruelty is this? For a little girl from Gaza to reach the age of dreams, only to find herself dreaming of having a foot instead of dreaming of running and playing

Sama Abu Khudwan had her foot amputated in July 2025. She still goes to school and continues to endure her pain, but she is waiting for a prosthetic limb that will give her back her steps

In Gaza, there are children who have been forced to grow up too soon, little dreams weighed down by pain, and a childhood that has been denied its right to joy

This is Israel’s target list in Gaza
