Palestina - Israël

I’m truly devastated by this story. How is this not making headlines today?

Four-year-old Osama Ahmed Abed died from injuries he sustained on August 23, 2026, when Israel struck the town of al-Zawayda in the central Gaza Strip.

I just watched an interview with his aunt, recorded a week ago. She said Osama’s father had been killed in an Israeli strike a year earlier. She was still hoping someone could save Osama’s life after a piece of shrapnel pierced his head.

I cannot fathom this. Osama was barely one year old when Israel began its genocide in Gaza in 2023. He never got to experience a single beautiful day in his short life.

And the media cannot even bring itself to say his name or show his face. It didn’t even report on him when he was injured.

I took screenshots to show his face before he was injured.

Israeli settler gangs smashed the windows of a vehicle transporting Palestinian students from Al-Fakhit School in Masafer Yatta, south of Hebron, in the occupied West Bank.

The attack comes amid escalating settler attacks targeting Palestinian schoolchildren and their access to education, including repeated assaults and road blockages that threaten students' safety and disrupt their daily journeys to school.

Here are a few of the confessions I noted down while watching Naza.

“Whoever you decided to kill was a terrorist.”

We say 15 NAZA. Not 15 people, or 15 women and children. We say 15 NAZA.”

"It’s like a video game, we’d always say, because everything is done remotely.”

“We didn’t collect the bodies. The dogs eat them.”

- The ‘human shield’ claim about private houses is absurd. They just come home to sleep. That’s where we find them.”

When asked if what’s happening in Gaza is genocide.) “Yes. Completely.... It’s intentional killing. We intended to kill those children.”

“Gaza became a factory of targets… it was done on a mass scale, efficiently, like in a factory.” “A factory of targets.”

“We erased history.”

“The policy is to destroy everything as quickly as possible, before we lose international legitimacy.”

“When we would attack someone and saw he was injured but alive, we usually dropped another bomb on him.”

“I’d hear the final moments of a person’s life.”

“I heard a woman screaming that her daughter’s body was burning.”

“The goal was quantity not quality.”

“There was a boy who entered our territory, he wasn’t doing anything. They bombed him.”

Y’all understand the panic over Naza yet? The film is dismantling their narrative piece by piece, using their own words.

Gaza is becoming increasingly uninhabitable as Israel's ongoing attacks, restrictions and mass displacement push living conditions towards total collapse, UNRWA's Director of Health, Akihiro Seita, warned on Monday.

Despite the October 2025 ceasefire, around two million Palestinians remain crowded into just 30% of the Gaza Strip, with most forced to live in tents amid severe shortages of clean water, sanitation and medical supplies.

Seita warned that overcrowding and the collapse of healthcare services have fuelled outbreaks of skin diseases and other infectious illnesses. “Gaza is becoming more and more a place where it is impossible for humans to live,” he said, stressing that the population's living environment has collapsed.

Israeli municipal authorities began demolishing the homes of Palestinian Jerusalem resident Hani al-Salaymeh and his father this morning in the Wadi Qaddum neighborhood of Silwan, in occupied Jerusalem.

Al-Salaymeh had emptied both homes yesterday in preparation for demolishing them himself, but Israeli bulldozers, accompanied by security forces, began carrying out the demolition this morning.

Detained Palestinian doctor Marwan al-Hams injured after being brutally beaten in front of Ben Gvir
——
Palestinian doctor Marwan al-Hams, director of Gaza's field hospitals, suffered fractures and severe back pain after Israeli prison guards restrained and beat him in the presence of Israeli National Security Minister Itamar Ben Gvir at Ganot Prison on 7 October, according to the Palestinian Prisoners' Media Office.

The office revealed on Tuesday that Ben Gvir entered the fifth room of the prison's second section, singled out and provoked the detained doctor before prison guards restrained and assaulted him.

Hams is reportedly in urgent need of medical treatment amid deteriorating health conditions. The attack took place during a wider crackdown on Palestinian detainees from Gaza that reportedly involved beatings, rubber bullets, and tear gas.

Marwan al-Hams was detained on 21 July, 2025, by an Israeli undercover force outside the International Committee of the Red Cross (ICRC) field hospital in Rafah, southern Gaza.

❗️Israeli occupation forces raid Palestinian women’s and prisoners’ rights groups in Ramallah

Israeli occupation forces raided the offices of Palestinian civil society organizations in Ramallah, including the Union of Palestinian Women’s Committees and Addameer Prisoner Support and Human Rights Association, as well as the courtyard of Ramallah Governmental Hospital.

According to WAFA, the raids targeted organizations documenting violations against Palestinians and supporting prisoners held in Israeli detention, amid Israel’s ongoing campaign against Palestinian civil society across the occupied West Bank.

The latest raids add to Israel’s escalating restrictions on Palestinian human rights organizations, many of which have faced closure orders, military raids and accusations of 'unlawful' activity.

These olive trees are older than the State of Israel. “You endure, and we endure. You are rooted, and we are rooted with you,” Abdul Latif Al-Bazzari tells them, back on his land in Burqa, northwest of Nablus, before his wounds have even healed. Less than a week earlier, on October 7, Israeli colonial terrorists backed by the Israeli occupation army attacked families from Burqa harvesting olives on their land between Burqa and the Ramin plain, opening fire and beating them with clubs and iron bars.

Abdul Latif was among those wounded in the attack. It killed Ali Hassan Yusr Al-Bazzari, 44, who according to witnesses was shot and left bleeding for around two hours while the attackers kept ambulances from reaching him, and wounded 16 others. Asked how he could return to the same trees, Abdul Latif compares himself to a drowning man who has no choice but to fight his way out of the sea. Standing beside a trunk thick with centuries, he challenges the colonists who claim the land: who planted these trees, who watered them, who pruned them and guarded them for hundreds of years? The tree, he says, is his witness.
