JUST IN:According to Kan Hebrew, as reported this evening, Israeli officials have informed the Americans of the areas where Israel intends to remain for the coming years, which are:
➤ The buffer zone surrounding the Gaza Strip.
➤ The Philadelphi Corridor along the border with Egypt.
➤ Hill 70 (known as Al-Muntar Hill), a 70-meter-high elevation in the Shuja’iyya area that provides fire control and observation over wide areas in the northern part of the Strip, including Gaza City, Shuja’iyya, Al-Zaytoun, and Jabalia, as well as over Israeli settlements such as Nahal Oz, Kfar Aza, and Mefalsim.
Israel says the Americans understand the Israeli need to remain in these locations.

The Israeli occupation continues its brutal aggression against our Palestinian people in the Gaza Strip, disregarding the ceasefire calls announced by U.S. President Donald Trump and the positive response that was given to the proposal.
From dawn on Saturday, October 4, 2025, until the end of Sunday, October 5, 2025, the occupation carried out more than 131 air and artillery strikes targeting densely populated civilian and displaced areas across the governorates of the Strip, committing clear massacres that resulted in the martyrdom of 94 civilians, including women and children—61 of whom were killed in Gaza City alone.
This ongoing crime falls within the framework of the continuing genocide against our Palestinian people and reaffirms that the occupation blatantly disregards all international calls for calm, insisting on pursuing its systematic killing of civilians and the destruction of all aspects of life in the Gaza Strip.
We hold the Israeli occupation fully responsible for these crimes and call on the U.S. administration and the international community to take serious, concrete, and immediate action to stop the aggression and ensure the genuine implementation of a ceasefire in the Gaza Strip.
