Journalist Mohammad Qureiqi was one of the 6 journalists Israel killed yesterday.
He was born on March 15, 1992 in Shujaeeya neighborhood (same neighborhood where Refaat al-Areer was born).
In this video, it was Anas al-Sharif (RIP) filming Mohammad as he united with his family when the temporary ceasefire started in January 2025. It was months after Mohammad was separated from his family. He was in north Gaza while they were in the south.
In the video you hear Anas laughing, “come one, Abu Zain (Mohammad’s neck name). Run above the rubble to your kids.”
Anas tells Mohammad, “Look how big your son has become.”
Mohammad’s two children seemed like they didn’t recognize their father well. That’s something Anas noticed and said. He laughed, “Oh! It seems like your kids could not recognize you!!”
At the beginning of the video Anas tells Mohammad, “you were always insisting that you wanted to stop covering the news because you wanted to be with your children and wife. Now you can go to them.”

To be clear, Israel put Anas on a death list with other journalists last year but he was protected by the size of his platform.
They tracked his cell phone, his every move, they could have killed him at any time. They only chose to now because they determined the information blowback from assassinating him would be less than if he were alive to record the invasion of Gaza City.
