BREAKING: 82% of Those Killed in Gaza Since March Are Civilians, Israeli Military Admits
The Israeli military has officially acknowledged to Israeli outlet HaMakom HaKhi Ham that over 80% of those killed in Gaza since March 18 were civilians uninvolved in combat—confirming what Palestinians have long said. The explosive admission comes two months after Israel unilaterally broke the ceasefire to resume its assault.
➤ According to figures provided by the military, of the 2,780 Palestinians killed since March 18, only about 500 were identified as militants. The remaining 2,280 were civilians not suspected of any militant activity.
➤ That’s a ratio of 4.5 civilians killed for every alleged fighter—far worse than in other recent wars:

Russia-Ukraine war: ~2.8 civilians per combatant

U.S. war on ISIS in Syria: ~2.5 civilians per combatant

Israel’s 2014 Gaza war: ~3 civilians per combatant
➤ Euro-Med Human Rights Monitor puts the toll even higher: 14 civilians, including women and children, killed for every combatant.
➤ Israeli military response: Despite acknowledging the numbers, IDF officials admit they don’t track total casualties and release combatant figures “without a way to verify them.” Yet, HaMakom HaKhi Ham notes, they have continued to cast doubt on Gaza Health Ministry data, even while relying on it internally.
