Mahmoud Abu Al-Rous wrote his will and was just killed by Israel inside his tent in Al-Mawasi Khan Younis, Gaza.
Read his will….
“When I die, please—
If I die in the morning, bury me that morning; don’t leave me overnight in the morgue.
And if I die at night, keep me in my room, cover me, and bury me once morning comes.
When you come to offer condolences, come to my grave.
Don’t all come at once—let someone stay with me, pray for me, and recite over my grave.
Remember the days, the laughter, and everything beautiful we shared.
And when you visit my grave, don’t cry—it hurts me deeply and makes me sad.
I never liked to see anyone cry because of me.
If you want to post anything on your profiles, share a prayer for me so others may also pray.
When you remember me, remember only the good,
Pray for me when I die,
Pray for me when you lower me into the grave,
Pray for me whenever I cross your mind—
Because I will be in more need of your prayers than anything else.
When I die, don’t be sad.
Say that God chose what’s best for me.
Because at that moment,
I’ll have gone to the Creator of this universe—
The Most Merciful, the Most Compassionate, the Most Just—
Who never wrongs anyone.
He will be more tender with me than even my family,
For He created me.
Don’t fear for me, just pray for me and don’t forget me.
My smile will remain in the hearts of everyone who knew and loved me.
When I die, visit me—
I don’t like to be alone.
And talk to me; yes, I’ll be with my Lord,
But I’ll still hear you and feel you.
When I die—forgive me.
No one is guaranteed another day of life.
This is a will, not just a post…
Your brother, Mahmoud Abu Al-Rous.”
