Bruselas (AFP) - Los ministros de la Unión Europea estaban listos para firmar el lunes un plan de dos mil millones de euros para asaltar sus reservas y comprar conjuntamente proyectiles de artillería que se necesitan desesperadamente para Ucrania.
Ucrania le ha dicho a la UE que quiere 350.000 proyectiles al mes para ayudar a sus tropas a contener el ataque de Moscú y permitirles lanzar nuevas contraofensivas a finales de año.
Se espera que los ministros de Asuntos Exteriores y defensa que se reúnan en Bruselas acuerden una iniciativa múltiple destinada a proporcionar a Ucrania un millón de proyectiles en el próximo año y reponer sus propias existencias.
Brussels (AFP) – European Union ministers were set to sign off Monday on a two-billion-euro plan to raid their stockpiles and jointly purchase desperately needed artillery shells for Ukraine.
Ukraine has told the EU it wants 350,000 shells a month to help its troops hold back Moscow's onslaught and allow them to launch fresh counter-offensives later in the year.
Foreign and defence ministers meeting in Brussels are expected to agree on a multipronged initiative aimed at providing Ukraine with one million shells in the next year and replenishing their own stocks.
