Iran’s national TV says Iran has obtained a massive cache of sensitive Israeli intelligence, including thousands of documents on nuclear projects and facilities.
Two Israelis, Roy Yahya and Almog Atiyas (both 24), were arrested weeks ago for allegedly collaborating with Iran, though Iran claims it had already secured the data.
The operation took place earlier, but Iran delayed announcing it until all materials were safely transferred. The volume is so large that reviewing and analyzing the documents, images, and videos has taken significant time.
—️/ BREAKING: Iran's IRIB State TV announces that Iran has obtained several thousands of extremely sensitive Israeli ingelligence files and data, including highly classified documents related to its nuclear weapons program at Dimona
The operation was carried out several months ago by Iran's Ministry of Intelligence and the IRGC Intelligence Organization, employing spies directly inside Israeli territory, who retrieved the data and made sure it reached secure locations in Iran.
The operation is reportedly Israel's largest intelligence failure in history. The retrieved material consists of documents, images, videos, metadata, files, and other data.
