Egypt also expresses its surprise at the issuance of these statements, which contradict the vision presented by U.S. President Donald Trump and the twenty related points aimed at ending the war in the Gaza Strip, as well as the outcomes of the Peace Council held in Washington on February 19, 2026.
Egypt reaffirms that Israel has no sovereignty over the occupied Palestinian territories or any other Arab lands, stressing its firm rejection of any attempts to annex the West Bank or separate it from the Gaza Strip, as well as rejecting the expansion of settlement activities in the occupied Palestinian territories.

Through discrimination in its application between Palestinians and others, in violation of the most basic principles of justice and equality, the law also represents a flagrant violation of the existing legal status in the occupied Palestinian territories, under which Israeli legislation does not apply to Palestinian citizens in the West Bank.
Egypt has repeatedly warned against ignoring the grave Israeli violations in the West Bank and the Gaza Strip in light of the current military escalation in the region, and affirms the seriousness of this measure and its repercussions on the stability of the situation in the occupied Palestinian territories and the prospects for containing the escalation, reiterating its categorical rejection of all unilateral Israeli policies and measures.
