JUST IN:European academics’ boycotts of Israel have grown in recent months. According to Israel’s Association of University Heads, The institutions that cut ties or ended collaborations have not reversed their actions. Out of nearly 1,000 boycott incidents since the war began, a quarter happened last summer, mostly in Western Europe.
The U.S. remains Israel’s main research partner, though slightly less than before. The report says Trump’s election and actions against major research bodies reduced boycott cases there, but a “quiet boycott” still exists in the U.S.

Kan 11 reports growers saying Europeans “don’t want our mangoes or oranges” and only buy Israeli produce if no alternative exists. Since the Gaza war, export orders to Europe have been canceled, ports are closing, and shipments to Asia are delayed or spoiled due to Red Sea disruptions.
Citrus and mango farmers warn of “collapse,” with fruit rotting on trees and losses reaching millions. Even the iconic “Jaffa orange” has virtually vanished from global markets.

90% van de mangos in Malaga staan hier in de streek, ca 2.300.000 bomen, goed voor zo een 35.000 ton. 85% van de spaanse mango komt van hier. 80% is voor de export
en ook 60% van de avocados komt van hier, zo een 3.000.000 bomen. 1 boom heeft nood aan ca 40.000liter /jaar en een mangoboom ongeveer 20.000l/j . Dit zorgt ervoor dat het stuwmeer hier op 1j volledig door die 2 soorten wordt verbruikt. En normaliter maar slechts 60% voor landbouw dient en 40% voor menselijk gebruik.
En het meer bevindt zich nu slechts op 47.5% vol.
Israel produceert ca 50.000ton, van hetgeen ca 17.000 ton wordt/werd uitgevoerd.
