European academics’ boycotts of Israel have grown in recent months. According to Israel’s Association of University Heads, The institutions that cut ties or ended collaborations have not reversed their actions. Out of nearly 1,000 boycott incidents since the war began, a quarter happened last summer, mostly in Western Europe.
The U.S. remains Israel’s main research partner, though slightly less than before. The report says Trump’s election and actions against major research bodies reduced boycott cases there, but a “quiet boycott” still exists in the U.S.
