Charlie Kirk

Perhaps, the most ironic and tragic thing is when Charlie Kirk said “this movement is about the citizens vs the oligarchs”.

He didn’t know it then, or maybe didn’t realize it, but Trump and his entire administration would turn out to be in bed with those very same oligarchs.

I think he finally figured that out the massive betrayal by Trump at the end, but it was too late.

It’s been one year, to the day, since Charlie Kirk was brutally assassinated.

I had the opportunity to meet the man one time, at the 2020 Mount Rushmore 4th of July fireworks celebration, in South Dakota.

We exchanged a few words and he was around just long enough to pose for a picture with me, before having to leave. Before anyone asks, yes, I used AI to remove the podium that was in front of us at the hotel.

At the time, it didn’t really seem like a big deal, as there were many VIP people I met at the hotel we were staying at. They were mostly all staying at the same hotel.

I didn’t realize then how much of an unexpected impact Charlie Kirk would have on the world, only five years later.

I feel very blessed to have had this opportunity.

You never know who you are going to meet, and how that will impact you in the future.

I knew about Charlie since his early days building Turning Point and his work with @RealCandaceO. I didn’t always agree with everything he said or stood for, but I did see him as a formidable leader of the youth, and there is no denying that he had a massive impact on Conservatism in our country. Charlie was also a master debater on college campuses, and it was always refreshing/entertaining to hear his wisdom on a variety of topics.

Looking back, in many ways, Charlie was the glue that held the MAGA movement together, especially since he had Trump’s ear directly. After he was killed, everything fell apart very quickly. Charlie was also the first real casualty of the Iran war, a war that he advocated fiercely against. I truly believe that Charlie was the only man standing in the way of us not going to war with Iran.

In his final days, it is evident to me that Charlie was having a spiritual awakening and wrestling with the fact that Israel wasn’t exactly the friend to us he was led to believe, and he in fact stated this directly that he felt a lot of direct pressure. He deeply lamented being called “antisemitic” by his Jewish donors and contemporaries for hosting Tucker Carlson and Candace Owens at TPUSA events, told Ben Shapiro that the media wasn’t doing its part to investigate Israel for October 7th and then texted on his last night on earth that he would “Have no choice but to leave the pro-Israel cause”. He knew it was a deadly decision, but he moved forward with boldness and without fear. The man was a real warrior.

Charlie was martyred because he was getting far too close to the TRUTH, and they simply couldn’t afford to lose his support. Not with the massive audience of youth he had amassed and influenced. He became a danger to the same circle of people whom he trusted most, before he was viciously betrayed.

Charlie Kirk was an incredible human being and servant of Jesus Christ, with whom he now resides in Heaven. A much better place.

We miss you dearly, Charlie.

I donated to @TPUSA the day after Charlie was assassinated—got their latest email at midnight.

They want to re-write what Charlie stood for, and redefine his legacy.

They want my money to move “Onward!”

Fuck you @TPUSA and @MrsErikaKirk
