Actress Hannah Einbinder was arrested in New York while protesting against Benjamin Netanyahu ahead of his address to the UN General Assembly.

Einbinder, who has repeatedly spoken out in support of Palestinian rights, joined hundreds of protesters demanding an end to US support for 'Israel' and calling for accountability over the war in Gaza.

She said at the protest that she was demonstrating “as a Jew, as an American, and as a human being”.

Oscar nominee Florence Pugh addressed her outspoken support for Palestine in a Vanity Fair interview, stating she was "never scared" to speak out and questioning why Hollywood took so long to express sympathy.

Despite likely losing hundreds of thousands of followers for sharing humanitarian aid links, Pugh declared, "Silence in the face of such suffering is not neutrality. It is complicity" at the Together for Palestine benefit, which raised over $2 million for humanitarian aid.

Her team supported her attendance despite filming conflicts with Avengers: Doomsday. Reflecting on the crisis, Pugh added,
"Empathy should not be this hard".
