The Pentagon just confirmed it delivered six F-35B fighter jets to the Marine Corps without radars because the new radar system won't even begin production until April 2028.
Lt. Gen. Masiello acknowledged the obvious: a radarless F-35 cannot be considered fully mission capable, which is one of the more understated things a military official has said publicly in recent memory given that the F-35 program has already cost over $400 billion and counting.
Trump just called defense contractors to the White House to explain why missile stockpiles are depleted. The Pentagon is delivering fighter jets without the part that makes them fighter jets.
And the radar won't be ready for another 2 years.
