JUST IN: U.S. MOVES STAFF AND ASSETS AS MIDDLE EAST TENSIONS THREATEN TO BOIL OVER

Increased aviation activity has been reported near the U.S. Embassy in Baghdad, coinciding with the State Department’s authorization for nonessential staff to depart Iraq. The Pentagon has also approved voluntary evacuation of military families from bases across the Middle East.

These actions reflect growing U.S. intelligence concerns that Israel may launch a unilateral strike on Iran’s nuclear facilities, raising the risk of Iranian retaliation against American interests.

A senior regional diplomat warns, “We think it's more serious than any other time in the past.” Former President Trump added, “I am getting more and more less confident” about the chances of a nuclear deal.

With talks now in doubt, Washington appears to be preparing for possible escalation.
