I disagree with Scott Ritter's assessment that Hamas must release the remaining 53 hostages. The whole object of Al Aqsa Flood was to capture enough Israeli military POWs as currency in exchange for ALL Palestinian prisoners held by Israel. If Hamas were to release their captives does Scott honestly think Israel's aggression would stop? That's pretty naive of him, dontcha think?
As tragic as Israel's bloodthirsty genocidal campaigns in Gaza are, the alternative would be much worse - a Final Solution against an urnarmed and defenseless population with a toothless resistance. This is a non-starter for negotiations and Scott is smart enough to know this.
As I write in my pinned post, you can't make a deal with the devil because he is a deceiver by nature. By adhering to the terms of the ceasefire they expose Israel as the sole violator of the agreement, which even the Israeli public is now convinced of. By holding on to the remaining captives Hamas puts pressure on Netanyahu through the Israeli population and they maintain leverage in negotiations to further the deal. Hamas also can't break their promise to free all Palestinians from Israeli jails, which include resistance fighters and leaders.
Only way forward is MIL, there is no diplomatic way out. Evil must be defeated, it can't be reasoned with. Trump has no other option but to pursue this policy, so his best bet in resolving this in a military fashion is to antagonize the Arabs and Persians into dealing with Israel once snd for all.

On August 7, 2024, at approximately 11pm, I was SWATTED by the Town of Bethlehem Police Department.
This was the same day that the FBI Albany Field Office executed a search warrant at my home, seizing personal electronics and my personal files and records.
The purpose of the raid were suspicions on the part of the FBI that I was acting as an unregistered agent of the Russian government.
No charges were filed against me, and none have been filed since.
The FBI’s actions were to intimidate me into silence since my position on US-Russian relations ran counter to that of the Biden administration.
When I asked the Town of Bethlehem SWAT team about the origin of the call that sent them to my home, they said it came from the FBI Albany Field Office.
I encourage you to look into this matter with an eye on ending this harassment, returning my property, and holding those in the FBI Albany Field Office accountable for allowing their work to be politicized and used to suppress my free speech rights.
