Qatar has made a formal condition for resuming prisoner-exchange mediation: an official apology from Israel.

According to Israel’s Channel 12, the request came directly from Emir Tamim Al-Thani and was raised during Foreign Minister Marco Rubio’s visit to Jerusalem. Qatari officials acknowledge Netanyahu’s political difficulties and signaled they are willing to be flexible in the wording of the apology.
