Sky News just reported that the Lebanon ceasefire is a joke. “Israel is evacuating 11 towns. The Israeli strategy appears to be to take ground up to the Litani River. But they may be looking to take even more ground."
The ceasefire was supposed to stop the fighting. Instead, it gave Israel time to plan the next land grab.

The US State Department just announced the ceasefire between Israel & Lebanon will be extended by 45 days.Who the hell are they kidding?
There is no ceasefire. Israel has never respected one. Since the last so-called truce on March 2, & the one before it, there have been over 20,000 violations: daily strikes including north of the Litani, entire towns erased, hundreds killed. Just more Israeli bombs & occupation while Washington calls it “progress.”
At this point, putting “Israel” & “ceasefire” in the same sentence is becoming an oxymoron.
This is not an extension. It is a rubber stamp for continued slaughter dressed up as diplomacy & signed off by a handpicked puppet president & his prime minister.
Pathetic.

Two days ago, Rida Awada from Jwaya was helping dig graves for those killed in Israeli strikes in south Lebanon.
He did not know he was preparing his own.
Yesterday, Israel killed him too. Today, he was buried in the very ground he helped open for others.
Such is the reality buried beneath all the diplomatic language about “ceasefires” & “de-escalation.” Ordinary men preparing graves faster than the world can count the dead.
