️Private contractors in Gaza were paid based on how many buildings they demolished, this model is now being applied in southern Lebanon.

During the ceasefire, the Israeli army is carrying out systematic destruction of towns in southern Lebanon using civilian contractors and engineering equipment (mainly excavators). Some contractors are paid per building destroyed.

Dozens of machines are operating simultaneously in some areas, demolishing homes, public buildings, and even schools under approved plans aimed at “clearing the area.” This policy, reportedly called “Money Plow,” mirrors tactics used in Gaza.

The army is creating ‘buffer zones’ south of the “Yellow Line”, with the goal of preventing residents from returning near the border. Destruction is tracked digitally, including counts of buildings demolished.

Israeli Defense Minister Israel Katz previously stated all border-area villages in Lebanon would be destroyed following the Gaza model, with plans to establish a long-term security zone up to the Litani River.

Reports also indicate new Israeli military posts are being built in southern Lebanon.
