Houthi forces just seized full control of the Bab el-Mandeb strait, per AFP.This strait carries about 12% of the world's seaborne oil trade, a critical route linking the Persian Gulf and Asia to Europe.
The Strait of Hormuz, which carries 20% of the world's oil supply, is already effectively closed.
Now both of the world's most critical oil chokepoints are under pressure at the same time.
