JUST IN: IRAN SAYS IF WAR WITH ISRAEL HAD LASTED 3 MORE DAYS, ISRAEL WOULD HAVE BEEN OBLITERATED

Iranian Defense Minister Aziz Nasirzadeh:

“If our war with Israel had continued for 15 days, the situation would have been different”

"In the 12-day war, we were not facing an ordinary threat. This is the truth. Behind this war, America was present with all its might, and some European and Western countries were also present from logistical and equipment perspectives."

"Therefore, I believe we were facing the strongest military force in the world. Under such circumstances, there was certainly a disparity (in power), but on the battlefield, it is not limited to numbers and equipment alone. There are other indicators that we used to determine the battlefield, and we succeeded in managing it."

"If the war had lasted 15 days instead of 12, in the last three days perhaps they (the Israelis) would not have been able to intercept any missile. Defense is not an easy matter. It cannot be like firing from a machine gun."

"Their defense systems are so massive and large that when their missiles are fired and depleted... reloading the missiles takes a long time and is extremely expensive."

"Can you fire several missiles from a Patriot system to bring down one warhead? This is not easy; in fact, it is nearly impossible. Continuing the war would have certainly harmed them, and they did not have the ability to defend as in the early days, which is what prompted them to request a ceasefire."

Iran has "established military factories in some countries," without revealing their identities.

"We have very good relations with countries that have political and defense relations with us. We have weapons exchanges; we sell and buy. Of course, this does not mean that we buy because we need them, but it is a common practice among countries. We exchange and benefit from each other's technological and industrial capabilities."

"As I said, sometimes it is not feasible for us to establish a factory, so we go and buy. This way we meet our needs. There are some countries where we have established defense industry infrastructure. We have established factories there. Perhaps at the appropriate time we will announce this, but we have not made a decision yet, so the world believes in our defense capabilities."
