“Statement issued by Hezbollah regarding the massacres committed by the Zionist enemy against innocent civilians:
With its blind hatred, entrenched criminality, and limitless brutality, which have become inherent traits, the Israeli enemy today carried out a series of widespread massacres against innocent civilians, targeting civilian areas with dozens of violent airstrikes in the southern suburbs, the capital Beirut, Sidon, the south, and the Bekaa, causing hundreds of martyrs and wounded, including children, women, and the elderly.
This barbaric aggression, which at every stage constitutes clear war crimes and acts of genocide through the targeting of densely populated civilian areas, markets, and commercial shops during peak hours, is nothing but a desperate attempt to exact revenge on civilians after the failure of all attempts to break this proud people and subjugate them. Our honorable people have proven that the brutality of the aggression has only increased their resilience, steadfastness, and adherence to the path of resistance, regardless of the immense sacrifices they have made.
This unrestrained criminality is a clear expression of the frustration suffered by the enemy after its complete failure to achieve any of its objectives or plans across various fronts, and after finding itself confronted with the reality of its defeat, unable and constrained from changing the equations imposed by the steadfastness of the peoples of Iran and Lebanon. It also reflects a state of collapse, confusion, and disarray experienced by this troubled entity and its defeated army as a result of the strikes of the fighters.
We affirm that the blood of the martyrs and the wounded will not be in vain, and that today’s massacres, like all acts of aggression and brutal crimes, reaffirm our natural and legal right to resist the occupation and respond to its aggression. They will only increase our determination to continue resistance and confrontation in order to restrain the enemy and defend our people, our homeland, and our security in the face of ongoing aggression.”
