JUST IN: U.S veteran Greg J Stoker has been released from Israeli detention after being unlawfully taken from the Gaza Sumud Freedom Flotilla in international water.After landing in Slovakia, Stoker said that many detained GSF activists have begun a hunger strike after Israel denied insulin to diabetic detainees.

We were given clothes, food, and water in Istanbul— everything we asked for. They even arranged a hotel for us. It was wonderful.
I truly felt we were rescued by Türkiye. I can’t thank the Turkish government enough for ensuring we were safe.
Israeli soldiers look like us — they have faces and hands — but underneath, they are monsters. They can’t even get along with each other. They are cruel, inhumane, and brutal.
I know Palestinians suffer far worse, but being there gave me a small glimpse of what they have to endure.
