Ana Alcalde, een Spaanse vrouw uit Granada die drieëntwintig jaar geleden tot de islam bekeerde: “Ik werd Hanan toen ik in 2002 terugkeerde naar de islam in de Sidi Embarek-moskee met imam Sidi Hmido”.
Ze is moeder van zes kinderen en staat bekend om haar activisme op sociale media, met name op TikTok, waar ze content deelt over mensenrechten, feminisme en sociale rechtvaardigheid.
In 2000 omarmde ik de islam en besloot ik een hoofddoek te dragen. Toen maakte mijn leven als bevoorrechte blanke een ommezwaai van 180 graden.
Ze is maatschappelijk werkster in het team voor geestelijke gezondheidszorg van de Acute Zorgafdeling van het Universitair Ziekenhuis San Cecilio in Granada. Alcade heeft ook “een master in sociale uitsluiting, integratie en burgerschap en verschillende postdoctorale opleidingen in immigratie, gelijkheidsbeleid en op sociaal-cultureel gebied”.
Ze werd lid van de Communistische Jeugd.
Haar succes op TikTok heeft ze deels te danken aan haar kinderen, met wie ze tijdens de pandemie begon met het maken van video's op haar account @familiabdelkader.

Ik plaats gewoon een Telegrambericht van een spaanse telegram en vertaal die. Heb even die mevrouw opgezocht en gewoon hier geplaatst wie het is.
Die telegramgroep. die zijn het die cynisch zijn en met dit lachen, ik niet.
Ahaaaa, dat wist ik niet, dank voor de opheldering. De auteur(s) schrijft/schrijven duidelijk vanuit het tribalistische rechtse kamp. We weren dat het pro-Palestijnse activisme zo goed als exclusief een linkse aangelegenheid is. Dus ja, dan kom je al snel feminisme en communisme tegen. En er zullen vast ook narcistische social media-verslaafden tussen zitten. Maar ondertussen varen ze wel op een levensgevaarlijke sitiatie af en daar kan ik alleen maar bewondering voor opbrengen.

The Italian navy has said that its frigate will leave at this point and offer participants the opportunity to return to shore. We are unsure about Spain and Turkey’s ships.

BREAKING:The Italian Navy announced that it will stop escorting the flotilla to Gaza once it approaches within 150 nautical miles of the coast, in an attempt to prevent a diplomatic incident with Israel.
The Sumud Flotilla stated: the Italian Foreign Ministry informed us that the frigate accompanying the flotilla will issue a call allowing participants to return to shore before reaching the “critical zone.” What Italy is doing is not protection but sabotage, an attempt to foil the mission, acting as a tool in Israel’s hands instead of protecting the volunteers.
Meanwhile, the Israeli Navy is preparing to seize the largest convoy aimed at breaking the siege on the Gaza Strip, which consists of 50 ships and hundreds of activists and volunteers from 44 nationalities.

BREAKING Sinking ships and confiscating vessels - Israel's plan to intercept Gaza Sumud Freedom Flotilla revealed:Those who refuse to board the ship, and be voluntarily deported, will be arrested.
Israel is finalizing plans to block the Global Sumud Flotilla (GSF), now about 50 vessels with nearly 1,000 activists, expected to reach Gaza tomorrow. The flotilla set sail from Barcelona with international activists, including Greta Thunberg, and has since grown in size.
