Cuba

The Brothers to the Rescue planes downed over Cuba were part of the same Miami-based, CIA-backed terrorist network that killed Cubans in hotel bombings and bombed Cubana Flight 455 in 1976, killing all 73 passengers

The CIA assets who bombed Cubana 455, Orlando Bosch and Luis Posada Carriles, were protected from justice by the US government, including by former CIA Director George H.W. Bush and his son, Jeb

In 1983, Miami honored the arch-terrorists by announcing Orlando Bosch Day

The two mass murderers died as old men in their South Florida homes

Now, the CIA is charging Raul Castro for the crime of defending his country against the terrorist network it trained, nurtured and protected for decades

🇧🇷🇨🇺🚨Lula just said what the world has been thinking. "Stop this damned blockade on Cuba and let the Cuban people live their lives." Cuba has problems. But they are Cuba's problems. Not Lula's. Not Trump's. Not the empire's.

The US has punished Cuba for decades. Sanctions. Blockades. Regime change attempts. None of it worked. Cubans are still standing. Still surviving. Still waiting for the world to let them breathe.

Lula is not begging. He's demanding. The blockade is not policy. It's cruelty. And the world is tired of watching.

Spread the truth. Free Cuba. Not from its leaders. From the blockade. Let the Cuban people live.

The UN Human Rights Council just confirmed US blockade against Cuba violates human rights and international law, citing Article 33 of Fourth Geneva Convention, which prohibits collective punishment.

The US is starving and killing babies in Cuba just like Israel is starving and killing babies in Gaza.

The U.S. sanctions against Cuba must be lifted immediately. This’s a crime against humanity.

Cuba.

A country with eleven million people.

Ninety miles from Florida.

No meaningful military capacity to threaten the United States.

Under economic embargo for over 64 years.

Sixty-four years.

The stated reason has evolved. Communism. "Democracy promotion." "Human rights." "The Castro regime." Then "the post-Castro regime."

The actual reason is simpler and more enduring:

Cuba refused.

Cuba nationalized American-owned property.

Cuba told Washington it would not be managed.

Cuba survived everything Washington threw at it: the Bay of Pigs, hundreds of assassination attempts, decades of economic strangulation.

And it remained, visibly, stubbornly, infuriatingly itself.

Cuba is not an enemy because it is dangerous.

Cuba is an enemy because it is defiant.

Because an island of eleven million people that successfully refuses American authority is more threatening to the logic of empire than any military power.

Because the empire cannot afford for refusal to be survivable.

Cuba has survived.

For sixty-four years.

The embargo continues.

Not to change Cuba.

To punish the existence of the example.
